I know life after death exists but I don't think it's as simple as heaven and hell, or God is that crude or cruel. Most Christians have inherited their beliefs from family and culture rather than choosing a better path in life. I believe inheriting a faith is wrong and if you can offend God, then it would be offensive that you haven't even made the effort to question, think and choose. But I don't think God will condemn them for being socially conditioned. I believe God would praise me for standing up for the Truth but criticize me for lack of action.

Death is inevitable. The thief on the cross knew when his would occur, but we can not predict our own. After his death, the crucified criminal went to live in paradise with Jesus. Some of us will also live eternally in God's presence. But others will experience everlasting torment, forever separated from Him.
If we receive Jesus as our Savior, our penalty for sin is paid. We are adopted into God's family, and Heaven is our eternal home. If we reject Jesus, we remain alienated from the Lord and under condemnation for our sin. We are destined to experience eternal judgment. God won't accept any of man's excuses because there is no acceptable defense for unbelief. (Acts 4:12)

When you die you are dead. That is to say that you no longer exist. It happens to us all. We are born. We live. We die. Whether we are religious or not has no effect on this. We all die. So don't be afraid. There is no such thing as god or heaven or hell. Those are concepts made up by superstitious humans.

I would simply cease to exist. Heaven and hell are man-made concepts, I can't go to imaginary places.
When I die I will be cremated. I'd like my cremains tossed into an active volcano.

My body would go in the ground or be turned into ashes.
That's it -- there's no evidence that there's any such thing as heaven or hell.
And anyone who claims "absolute assurance of heaven" is either a liar or a fool -- since there's no evidence that there is any such thing, an "absolute assurance" isn't possible, making such a statement nonsense.
Peace.

The Book of Mormon gives a discription: All return to God and are in a place of happiness called Paradise, or a place of woe and misery depending on the life they lived, and there they await the resurrection.

I'd rot in the ground.
Heaven and hell are just stories to scare the immature and gullible.

I would go to heaven because I ask Jesus in my heart and have a personal relationship with him.
