I'm under the impression that all hair is hard to handle. With so many products on the market for managing hair, I get the impression that most people want their hair to be different than what they were born with. If your hair is straight, pay to make it curl. If you have natural curl, pay to make it straight. If your hair is black, dye it blond. If your hair is blond, dye it red. There seems to be no shortage of greener grass on the other side of the street when it comes to hair. I'm just happy I still have some to be concerned about!

Not all white people think that. i'm white and i dnt think that, but that is probably because mostly everyone i hang out with and basically all my friends are black so i know better. (as for the dumb azz mark elli... that comment u made was very disrespectful and if u knew anything u would know better than to say that about any race, sex, or any body for that matter. You need to take a look in the mirror and think about yourself instead of trying to make someone else feel bad for who and what they are. You are just plain dumb, ignorant, and disrespectful for saying something like that.)

I have never thought ALL blacks have a difficult time with their hair. That's a really broad assumption and a pretty ugly generalization and I don't operate like that.

All of us have bad hair days, right? I don't know anyone that is blessed with good hair all the time. I know people of all ethnic backgrounds, some have good hair, some have "awful" hair so I think it's not so much your ethnicity, but the roll of the genetic dice. My mom has great hair, my dad doesn't, and mine is so-so. My husbands hair is too thick to do much and my kids all have thin hair with cowlicks. You never can tell.

I certainly don't think I have it any better or any worse than anyone else in the hair department, never have. We're not that interested in other people's hair either, we pretty much deal with our own hair issues and let others deal with theirs.

because 90% of them do! I work with hair and the only black hair that was manageable was if they were mixed. It is completely different than any other hair texture, Asian, Mexican or Indian! It can't get wet easily, you can't scrub the scalp, you can't comb it, and it takes a long time to style! No offense, I'm just speaking from alot of experience. That is why they go to salons expertly for their type of hair.

IM white and black 2!!! ive learned how to deal wit my hair! ill show u how 1. wash you hair the night before your actually going somewhere with finesse conditioner (and any kind of shampoo), and with a hard prickled brush, comb ur hair through until completley combed through and and soft, do not wash out the conditioner until your done combing out your hair in the shower 2. when your out of the shower, and your hair dries, wet it with your hands from the sink and put a dime size of herbal essenses frizz control ( even though its not leave in conditioner) throughout your hair and comb through your hair with the hard brush again (i would recommend a side part for your hair if you dont have one already, all you need to do is take a comb and part the front part of your hair to the side, in the back it should be a straight part, so yes, half or 3/4 of your head has a side part and the rest has a straight part, trust me, if you do it right it looks normal, when your done parting you hair comb it again with the hard brush, if it got dry again wet it with ur hands and put a little more of the frizz conditioner on it thn comb it with the hard brush again) 3. when your done with step 2 you can either do two things: braid your hair into two braids/one or: wrap your hair into a bun. I would preffer braiding it into two braids, and when you do this, smooth edges with a soft brush and then put gel (with a 7-10 level hold) on the edges. 4. sleep with it in braids, and in the morning, take hair out of braids style newly curled hair, and go to school, work, etc., make sure the part that was left from the braids is no longer visible by playing with your hair with your hands.. do not comb your hair at all 5. When your done with your day, and you dont feel like taking a shower and washing your hair or you dont think it really looked right, 1st put some garnier frutise sleek and shine leave in conditioner on your hair and styling gel throughout your hair ( a gel with a 5-7 level hold), then twist hair and wrap it into a bun, put several ponytail holders on it to make sure the bun is secure, put some more gel on the edges. Sleep with the bun. 6. in the morning, unwrap your hair and style it like you did the first day, hair should be a little more straighter thn the 1st day and alot more straighter thn it usually is. 7. When your done with this day, start steps 1-4 again. 8. When your done with step 7, start steps 1-8 again. Hope i helped! I am FOR CERTAIN you will totally love your hair now after using my technique, and yes i know its so much brushing, but in the end it looks great! If you see any other frizz easing conditioners or sprays or products, get it and try it out! It took me so long to find a technique for my hair but with trial and error i got it. There is also some curl relaxer conditioners.. but ive never tried them, and they might damage your hair so... i wouldnt really recommend them. Hope i helped! PS if you have any other questions just ask me!

I can't speak for everyone, but some of us have a lot black girlfriends who are always complaining about how hard it is to deal with their hair.

Because there are so many black sites that talk about how hard black hair is to handle.

Are you half black?? Or is your avatar white?? Because if you're half black that would make sense.

i'm white, and personally i've seen that black people can do things to their hair that would NEVER work with my hair. in my opinion you guys have it much easier. i don't know where you get your assumption but it's wrong on my end.
