If you were mocking a hindu, islam, jew, black whatever you would be considered racist and people would be disgusted by your behaviour. SO WHY IS IT OK TO MOCK THE ONE (JESUS) I HAVE GIVEN MY WHOLE LIFE FOR???? Seriously, think of the long term consequences!!!

Maybe I should have said NON believers.. That's not the point though. Just because we don't believe in Muhammed doesn't give us the right to make fun of of him. So why not just get along. The problem with the world is this: If I don't believe what you believe then I must be wrong? I like the country, maybe you like the city. Doesn't make it wrong, just different. So lighten up on calling Jesus evil/devil etc. If I did that to muhammed I'd be on someones death list.

I've wondered this aswell! I'm not racist by saying this, but I heard that some Muslims were marching with signs daying 'death to all who don't worship Allah'. If a Christian did this, it would cause fights.

It's probably because in UK and US most of the popularity are christians. I'm sure if a Christian went to a country of a different religion and someone from there mocked your religion, the people of that country would consider it racist.

One time at college, a muslim-looking girl bumped into me and didn't say sorry. I was in a bad mood at the time and nearly said something. Luckily I didnt' because if i did, I would be called a racist. Yet called nothing if she was white.

Um, sorry, but mocking a hindu is not like mocking Christ. Mocking Christ is NOT RACIST (Would you people PLEASE buy a DICTIONARY!!!!)

I don't mock Christ anyway... so your "everyone" part is bs. =) I will, however, mock a Christian when they act hypocritical - preaching against one thing and then turn around and do that exact thing they claim is sending everyone else to hell. I will mock a Christian when they think they can step on others just because the others can not defend themselves.

"long term consequences" - these types of threats do not work on people who do not believe in Christianity. You probably wouldn't take it seriously if a Pagan made a vague threat about you going to Hades (Greek Myth), would you?

Don't you think Jesus might have had a sense of humor, etc? Even then if he's defined as this "son of an omnipotent creator being" (which I believe is wholly illogic, point which I'll illustrate now) don't you think he would have a calm enough mind not to be so heavily disturbed by what you are perceiving as "mocking"? Do you think his ego would be so tight he wouldn't be able to see that people do what they do due to their own causes and conditions and lacks the compassion and equanimity to be able to mentally cope with it? Doesn't sound like logical Jesus behavior to me.

The Jesus I read about in the Bible had a very calm mind in the face of things and would logically have had a nice sense of humor. Maybe you could try to cultivate the same kind of calmness and equanimity?

What you're describing is particularly a healthful element of residing in a unfastened society. If something is ridiculous, we would desire to have the flexibility to assert so. in case you disagree, you're the two unfastened to assert so. you're saying you "could have the flexibility to have" your ideals, and wager what? you are able to. however the thought your ideals could be shielded from criticism is nonsense. Now here is the place i think of we agree. You stated you think of you "deserve appreciate from human beings" and of direction this is genuine. human beings could be respectful of others who do not think of like them, and while you're feeling disrespected then you definately could tell them so. only be careful the way you word it, because of the fact if what you're soliciting for is appreciate *on your ideals* this is a distinctive subject. i will totally appreciate somebody collectively as nevertheless thinking their recommendations are incorrect. while you at the instant are not comfortable being an element of those conversations then this is as much as you to create own barriers with people who do not coddle you. i'm hoping you're extra advantageous than that nevertheless. Too many human beings stay in echo chambers crammed with people who consider them. extra efficient to be openminded. that's a large, large worldwide available and Mormonism is an extremely small minority. on your final question, i will only talk for myself yet i will assure you i'm not frightened of what you suspect, and as a former member I actually realize it. would desire to or not this is there is extra to renowned than what your church places in its very own Sunday college manuals? I propose you get comfortable asserting "perhaps i've got been incorrect." prepare in a reflect or something.

Well first off, Not everyone believes in Jesus, And just because you have wasted your life worshipping him doesn't mean everyone else will have the same views. Long term Consequences mean nothing to non believers. Just as much as Allah and Muhammed mean nothing to you. So Calm down.

I am not mocking you. It is "you" you are talking about, really. If you have given yourwhole life to this way of thinking, just let it ride over you. Ignore it. Be happy in yourself and don't get so cross!

A belief is not a race. And claiming a belief is likely false is hardly racist. The fact is you have probably devoted your life to a myth. When people inform you of this, they are doing you a service. Your life is valuable and to give it for a myth is tragic.

I am not a believer, but you are right. It is reprehensible, the blatant disrespect that is shown to Christians. I don't see why anyone has the right to behave rudely, simply because of a difference in opinion or belief.
We should respect others, if we are to expect it ourselves.

Similar to the consequences for mocking Zeus or Heracles, but more fun.
