Green tea has recently become the latest weapon in the war on weight. But does it really work? The studies are promising. Although most tests have been performed on laboratory animals, at least one with humans showed that taking in the equivalent of 3 cups of green tea per day burned an additional 80 calories per day. That may not sound like much, but it adds up to more than 7 pounds a year -- without changing anything else!

If you are going to exercise I know this sounds like a given but make sure you drink lots of water. Other than that, try eating small frequent healthy snacks because this helps keep your metabolism up. Losing weight is simply about burning off more calories than you consume without starving yourself. And I must say, you seem to be doing a good job of it as things stand. Hope this helped

the active ingredients in green tea don't really function like that and you need to drink 3 cups daily. for most this will cause a 2-3% increase on the resting metabolic rate. consuming more than that will not have an additive effect
