I wanted to have a fancy dinner at this restraunt that cost $150! This is a huge amount of money for me because I can't find steady work because I wear a Jar Jar Binks costume and mask all the time. Anyway, after a few months of saving I had the money. I made a reservation and showed up for what I hoped would be the best dinner of my life! When I got there the host said I couldn't wear my costume! I told him if I wasn't served he would pay dearly but he still refused. I had no choice. I pulled out my space blaster (A BB-Gun) and shot him! I shot a lobster tank and it broke, spilling water and lobsters everywhere. Several waiters started running toward me so I sprinted around the tables, grabbing plates of food and throwing them on the customers and employees, also firing wildly into the crowds of people. Eventually some waiters tackled me and held me down until the police showed up and arrested me! Since it was their fault that this happened can I sue the restraunt for my legal fees?

Assuming this isn't a made up story...

No, you weren't abused. Restaurants reserve the right to refuse service to anyone. In your case your custume could make you clumsy or could indicate you are psychotic.

The fact that you pulled out a BB-gun, shot someone then proceeded to throw food just justifies you being refused service.

None of that was their fault. You didn't follow their attire standards and were refused service.

You can't sue either. You could try, but you would end up paying court fees and probably get countersued for causing them a ruckus (I imagine they had to comp. a few meals to customers that night).

No you cant since they told you that you couldn't wear your costume in the restaurant then you had a couple of options. One you could have ordered to go, Two you could have left. the fact you knew it was a very expensive restaurant that should have told you that formal attire was probably required.
i am very sorry for your ordeal but restaurants are not required to serve people that walk in in costumee.
May i ask why you walk around in that costum anyway, and since you do why then does it bother you that people don't accept it.
When you were running around that restaurant with a BB gun firing wildly did you think that you could have killed someone?
what would you have done if you were in the customers shoes, in all actuality they could sue YOU!!!

it was not their fault it was yours. You should know that place do have dress codes. You shot at the host, you broke things, you ruined other peoples dinners. You were in the wrong. The people who you hit with food could sue if you messed up their clothing. To think that you could sue them is an out rage and if you asked in lawyer he would tell you the same thing.

No.
Grow up and get some counceling. I wonder why you can't get a job..maybe you can work for a costume store or dress up in costume for a business mascot. I have a feeling that somebody needs attention.

Jar-Jar good to see you again, you were not abused you were discriminated against. Not only should you go after the restaurant for legal fees but for violating your civil rights. Your costume as they call it is part of your religious heritage. Call the local chapter of the ACLU and get them suckers.

To me psychological abuse is worse than actual abuse. With actual abuse yours harm's are healed in a short era of time, yet regrettably with psychological abuse your harm's can many years to heal.
