I have gone to allrecipes.com and looked for baked bean recipes so PLEASE don't tell me to go there or any other site. In YOUR opinion what is your favorite baked bean recipe? I have beans in my cupboard that I thought about making but I think I want to make them a new way.

2 (30 ounce) cans pork and beans
1 (15 ounce) can butter beans, drained
2 cans tomato soup
1 lb ground beef
1/2-1 lb bacon
2 medium onions, chopped
1 cup brown sugar

Fry bacon.
Remove from pan and set aside.
When cooled, break up into small pieces.
In the bacon grease, cook ground beef and onions until beef is no longer pink.
Mix all the ingredients together, stir well.
Pour in a 9 x 13 baking dish.
Bake at 350 for about 1 hour.
(You can use either all baked beans, all butter beans, or a combination).
These are sweet baked beans. You may cut back or eliminate the brown sugar according to your tastes.

Real baked beans are made with navy beans.
If you have a rock pot, this will be easy.I usually soak them in a bowl overnight. Just put in the beans fill with water just enough to cover the beans plus a little bit more. Once the beans have cooked for about 1 1/2 hours on high, then you may start seasoning them.
1-12 oz can of tomato sauce
1-8 oz can of diced tomatoes
1-hamhock or smoked bacon chunk.
1 small box of brown sugar.
small diced onion.
tablespoon of onion powder
tablespoon of garlic powder
1/2 tablespoon of cumin.

Let cook on high for 1 more hour and your done.

Listen, baked beans can be really easy. Get a couple large cans of Bushs Beans, place in baking dish, mix in a bottle of your favorite barbeque sauce, a little ketchup, a dash of A-1 steaksauce and a package of real bacon bits. Bake on 350 for about 45 minutes...and there you go.
