Crawling or starting to crawl. Perhaps even pulling themselves up. Attempting to feed themselves - (cheerios etc...)

Well, normally they get together with a couple of their friends, hit a strip club, play some poker, have a couple virgin drinks, shoot some pool, and then retire to their cribs around... oh... 6 o'clock-ish! :) Haha...
Really, at 7 months... Your baby should be engaging in hide-and-seek games, MAYBE feeding him/herself finger foods, sorting toys (not like organizing them by shape and color... Just enjoying playing with like stacking blocks or rings, or one of those boxes where they have to match the block with the right size hole), teething, experiencing a little bit of separation anxiety (before now, when you would leave the room, he/she wouldn't really be phased, but now, he/she should be getting more attached/wanting YOU), getting more emotional (like blowing kisses or clapping when you clap), and some other stuff too...
But remember, all babies are unique and set milestones at their own pace... Developmental guidelines simply show what your baby has the potential to accomplish, if not right now, then soon. If your baby was a preemie, remember that kids born early usually need a little bit more time to meet their milestones... Enjoy having the little one around, they are SO much fun to watch grow up... :D Hope this helped!

All babies are different, and do things at different ages. At seven months my son started crawling, at this age, my daughter could only just sit up on her own.
They should be able sit with support, pick things up, start eating finger foods (veggie sticks, rice cakes), and might have started double babble (ma ma, da da, ra ra). they may be able to roll from front to back or back to front. But all are different so if yours isn't doing this, don't worry.

Eat, sleep, poop, cry, laugh. He can probably roll over and crawl. He may be pulling himself up to a standing position on furniture. Walking is at least a few months away, though. He's probably saying at least a few words, too.

I'm not sure on the authors name but the name of the book is "What to expect in the first year" They also have what to expect while expecting and another to do with raising a toddle. These books have so much information in them. Pick one up you won't regret it.

most of them start to creep (first stage of crawling), start babbling and sit without support (for a few seconds). some of them learn how to close-open their fists - when taught by parents.
