From personal experience, I think each country has at least a couple of truly delicious masterpieces. In personal tastes my favorite food is chinese, followed by Italian food. Of course food from El Salvador (my home country) is absolutely delicious for my palate.
I think it is a matter of taste. Everyone has different favs.

Switzerland for raclette and fondue, Italy for spag bol and pizza, Mexico for enchiladas and nachos, China for cha siew bow (spelling?) and chicken feet (just kidding!), Germany for vanilla ice cream with hot raspberries, Australia for vegemite sandwiches (not kidding this time!), Canada for pancakes with maple syrup....
As others mentioned, every country has at least one great dish and tastes can differ wildly between people and cultures.
The better question would have been:
"Which are your favourite foods for each country?" Wow, that would have like a million answers!

In all honesty, I say the U.S. I love cuisines from other countries, but there's nothing like Americana food. The good old recipes from the 50's and 60's and 70's, not that nouvelle cuisine. And there's such a melting pot of cultures and foods here, you can barely go wrong.

Wow, that's a tough one. I'm gonna have to go with Italy for my first choice, Thailand second, and France third.

if you think they eat in China what they serve as Chinese food here in the US you are sadly mistaken..go to China and you will find the food is not the same..
you won't be going yum when you found out what is being served...cat, dog, puppies, kittens..anything that moves and is protein or not goes into their food...can you still say yum...
the dog and cat poisoning came from the Chinese preparation of our pet food...How many of the world's pets are going to die a terrible death due to the Chinese screw up in putting poison laden dog food....?
by the way my wife is Chinese/Filipino and spend a few years in a Chinese restaurant and you would not believe how they treat the food for your consumption..but eat away....MSG and other ingredients..they are not life giving...and healthy but who cares.
