If God is the Creator of both the Bible and my brain, why would He make them fundamentally incompatible unless He wanted me to burn in Hell? All He had to do is either have the Bible be compliant with some logical framework that was not totally self-contradictory, or else make me a lot dumber, so I wouldn't notice. But since he made His Holy Word full of inconsistencies, and made me smart enough to figure that out, I can only assume that my eternal damnation was part of God's Divine Plan from the beginning. So, when I say that God is a silly fairytale invented to frighten children and has no place in rational discourse, I'm really doing God's work, right?

I think he probably doesn't pay his brain programmers enough, so he has only Himself to blame when he ends up with third-rate employees. I'm just sayin'.

Are you SURE God made your brain "incompatible" with the Bible? Are you sure it's not YOU that made your brain "incompatible?" And where are these inconsistencies? What don't you understand? I'd really like to know. I'm not just being facetious. It's just that generally when people say there are inconsistencies, I get a little wary, especially since the last time someone posted a site which pointed out all the so-called "inconsistencies," I was able to go through more than twenty of them within a half hour, and point out how they were NOT inconsistent.

I would love to discuss this at length with you. I don't feel that a person has to be "unintelligent" to accept the Bible.

Yes you are.

and that proves that the Bible isnt the word of God.

Its the word of humans who dared to put their names on it.

why does the bible have chapters under the names of its authors if the authors were selfless? egoless people who were doing the bidding of the creator?

God does not send a religion that does not make sense.

Some Biblical inconsistencies:

1. every man is responsible for his own actions.

vs.

Jesus died to save you from the sins of Adam.

God did not make your mind and his word incompatible. It is the influence of Satan in this world that has done that. I am not saying that you are being directly influenced by Satan but the world at large is and this is where you live.

I am sorry that you are currently unable to open your heart instead of strictly using your mind to determine whether or not God exists. As a Christian with a personal relationship with my creator, my life has been filled with power beyond anything I could have done on my own and I have peace within besides. I wouldn't give it up for anything else....even to save my life. You are missing out on those blessings and for that I feel nothing but pity for you.

God sends nobody to hell, you go because you don't want to be with God. Since you have an immortal soul you live with those that made the same choice that you did.
If you really want to read logical thought process of why a man turns from atheism get Mere Christianity by C.S. Lewis.

Your brain isn't incompatible with the Bible, just the traditional teachings of men (which aren't really based on the Bible, no matter what they tell you).

Have no fear, read the Bible for yourself and ask God for understanding.

God is the ethical regulation. he's in basic terms. he will make the suited determination. a lot of people think of that His be conscious is non-experience. there is not any way you will comprehend the recognize God in case you do not permit the Holy Spirit of God to steer you. So, possibly He enables you to easily stay lifeless in case you do not desire to be with Him. a lot of people have self belief that hell is a grave.

He did not make your brain incompatible w/ His word. You have free will and you chose to.
God is like a parent-teacher who gave his child a clean white sheet of paper. The child could either scribble unintelligible or crazy things (like your position), or the child could make a beautiful drawing.

It's up for us to really use our brains. Why blame the creator, unless you want to be an automaton. Do you?

I only read the first couple of sentences of your question, but don't worry. If your brain is defective, he made it that way for a reason and you won't burn in Hell.
However, since you obviously have a defective brain, and now are aware of the fact; you probably shouldn't talk much, but quietly sit in the back of the room and listen.

I love it when psuedo intellectuals cry about "inconsistencies" in the Bible and don't seem to point any out. I have the answer for you, I believe you are not "smart enough" to figure any inconsistency out, therefore you have the same chance as the rest of us. Don't forget, your question assumes that any believer must not be as smart as you. Think much of yourself?
