Yes, I fell deeply in love with a man that I adore, even to this day.
I knew I could never marry him, because his family would not accept me, as I am a white american...He is not. I tried to have a relationship with him but the acceptance of his family was more important than the love we shared. In the end he choose a bride that was not white and from his country.
I still care about him very much. I only wish that race was not such a separatist thing, I loved him more than anyone could. But in the end it didn't matter any.
