You should call your vets and explain whats going on. For her to not walking correctly could mean a number of thing. It is normal fror her to still have some dischare after giving birth but if it is bright red and smells foul then seek immediate vet care. Take the pup with her and have the vet check them over also.
Get on the phone right now and make that call!

I wouldn't worry too much about the bleeding unless it's alot of blood - like with humans, a dog will have a pink/red discharge for anywhere from 2-6 weeks after whelping (delivery) - if the discharge is green or smells bad you've got a problem and she needs vet care. Though you should have her examined by a vet to ensure that there is nothing left inside of her - the pups should also be checked at this stage and if it's not too late, have the dewclaws removed (dewclaws, if present, are usually done within the first 48 hours).
I'd be more concerned about the dams difficulty with walking, take her to the vet - she's due for a postnatal checkup anyway.

Your dog will bleed up to at least a week or more after she has given birth. She is probably still in pain from having the puppies and this is the reason she's having difficulty walking. If her condition (trouble walking) does not improve within 5 days, you should have her examined by a vet. Afterbirth is usually produced immediately after the puppies are born, and the female will actually eat it.

Hope this helps.

Dogs normally eat the afterbirth and leave no sign of it around. If your dog is bleeding and she has been for two days, you had better rush you dog to the vet and get a professional opinion.

And yes this could be serious!!!

Someone else has already said to get your dog to the vet and I will parrot that suggestion.
Although there will be a bloody discharge from the vagina following delivery of the pups, heavy bleeding may indicate a problem within her uterus ( such as retained placenta).

It concerns me that she is having trouble walking; is she having seizures and /or spasms? ( Calcium depletion could cause leg cramps)
Are you sure that she has passed all the puppies?
Could there be one retained in the birth canal and she cannot expel it?
There are so many things that could cause her to behave in an unusual manner that it is difficult to give you a definitive answer. Please have a veterinarian assess your female.....should you lose the female, taking care of motherless puppies is not for the faint hearted!

A dog and her pups should always have a vet check 24-72 hours after birth. She is weak, have you ever had children? Try have several at one time. OUCH! She needs to be fed puppy food and extra protein like scrambled eggs to help her keep her energy up. Contact your vet for follow up care as soon as possible, they can sometimes not deliver all the pups which riskes her life. Good luck.

Get her to the VET she could very well have a pup still stuck in the *horn*.

She can not pass this and will need help or you could possibly loose the mother.

This is not something you wait on... 2 days is way to long.

Good Luck

I would have been on the phone calling the vet for an appointment instead of getting on the computer. Call the vet & get her in ASAP just to be safe.

Take her top the vet and get her checked out to rule out anything serious. Good luck.

There is only one answer - take them all to the vet for a check up.
