Got up early and cleaned the house..set the ham and lamb on to cook then peeled ninety million carrots. Woke the kids after hiding 60000 eggs and 3 baskets full of goodies. After kids ate ALL the chocolate I attempted to lay them down for naps..not successfully. make a cake....and some coleslaw..then some orzo and shrimp...with a nice bit of fruit salad....sat down for 2 minutes to open my gift from the kids...after all it was MY BIRTHDAY as well....then 15 relatives and friends came..sat down had some wine and beer....wonderful family meal together...and then missed the children...found then sitting in my closet finishing off the Easter basket the bunny left ME. Pajama's..kisses goodbye and goodnight to 15 relatives and friends....sat down to watch a bit of TV....oops had to get up to clean up the chocolate puke in child #3's bedroom...give a bit of tummy rub and kisses..clean away the tears..and back to the couch..perhaps for a few pages of my book.....fell asleep sitting up with book in hand.....woke up smiling...Best ever Easter and Birthday...HOW could I ask for more....I am blessed:)
Hope yours was NOT so crazy..but filled with as much love:)

Ah, I could do nothing for Easter, but Easter did everything for me! What bliss! My spiritual batteries recharged, my mind focused on the risen Lord and Saviour, my heart uplifted. Thank you, Jesus.
Like Sasi, I had grandchildren with me over the weekend. Unlike Sasi, I did not have an opportunity to take them to church, but I did take my leave of our house-guests in the morning and informed them that this was Resurrection Sunday, the most important date in the Christian calendar, so they would have to do without me for a couple of hours. Actions speak louder than words? I do hope so, because our relatives are not believing Christians. Yet. The prayers continue.
I hope you too had a lovely Easter.

The pedantic answer is, 'Easter cannot have anything done for it because it is only a word.' Now, if you meant, 'What did you do AT Easter?' my answer is as follows:
I took my grand-daughter (not yet 4) to church where the children and teenagers participated in a family service of worship. Contrary to what you read here on Yahoo from some people who rubbish Easter, there wasn't an Easter egg in sight; nobody had rolled anything down hills earlier on; bunnies were banished. However, the children heard an address about why Jesus died such a horrible death, and were shown very big nails as a picture of the cross was displayed. Then they were told about the empty tomb and the joy of those who loved Jesus when they saw him again. The children then sang a few songs at the end.
When my grand-daughter's parents came to collect her, they asked her if she'd had any nightmares the previous evening. "No," she said. "Granny prayed to Jesus and I slept soundly." Given a previous week of hysterics at bed-time, seeing beasties and scratching herself as they crawled over her, with little sleep for them all, this was a witness to unbelieving parents - "out of the mouths of babes..."! And, before you mutter anything about her then having nightmares about nails, I've just spoken to her Dad who said she went to sleep no trouble on Sunday night and slept right through. So, God got all the glory this Easter.

I preached, served communion, worshipped, praised God and had/attended two beautiful services. I had an alter call at the sunrise service-my personal first -(I am fairly new in this area of ministry) and EVERYONE responded. God is so amazing!!!!!!! We also had a brunch at the church,an Easter egg hunt and then I came home and we had a wonderful family dinner-then I happily callapsed into bed and snuggled with my hubby and daughter in between us--perfectly blessed day !!!!

We had an awesome service at church. Our praise and worship team along with the choir which I help in, did some fantastic songs to go along with video testimonies, and our Pastor and Associate Pastor each preached a message. It all flowed so well. We practiced all Saturday afternoon and again Sunday am. After service we had lunch and then home the rest of the afternoon and evening.
Thank you for asking. So how about yourself, what did you do?
God bless you.<>< <>< <><

I ate gumbo and crawfish. Also, I went to church, sung, and danced. However, I didn't get a Easter basket this year because my mom is stressed out and couldn't make them. It was good, though.

GOD IS AWESOME!!
Resurection Sunday, was absolutely awesome!! We had church in the University of South Florida Sundome, with over 10,ooo in attendence. Our Pastor, Paula White, preached an awesome message that was so relavant to today's world. The theatrical production of "The Tree" was phenomenal!! Hundreds came to know or redicated to Jesus Christ!
The word that God gave me this week. Just like Christ, He has breathed the breath of life and His spirt into each of us. The enemy has come to steal and kill that spirit, and has crucified the spiritual life in many. But today, just as Christ rose again, God is here to awaken and resurect that spirt in us. Arise children of God and fulfill your calling! Go into all the world and share THE GOSPEL and love of Jesus Christ. The season has arrived, and the fields are ripe for the harvest. Share the love, the peace, and freedom, that Jesus offers.
