People say that atheist (like myself) have no real proof of knowing there is no god... what do they have? Papers and books written hundreds of years ago? For christians, it was Moses wasn't it? who was given the ten commandments...up on a mountain...where nobody else was around.... Now that's not very relyable is it? If it is faith that runs you, it's blind faith with no real back bone.

If you study history and the Bible you will see the amazing FACTS that the Bible is true. I don't have time to put them all here. If you are intested in learning I suggest you read the Bible completely before judging Christians. I have taken theology classes and history classes studying what atheists believe as well as Christians and other religions.

I agree with Scott B. You say "It was Moses, wasn't it?" How can you ask a question about something you have no clue about. Read the Bible and if you want scientific proof, there is that too. All you have to do is read. Scott B was being kind, but I'm not so sure I can be, especially when you have no idea what you're talking about. You fear the unknown.

I would not call my beliefs a result of "blind faith." I went into Christianity with both eyes open, and with plenty of research under my belt.

For me, becoming a Christian was not a leap of faith, but baby steps into the light. And when I say baby steps, I mean LITERALLY, baby steps. It took me twelve years of research to become a Christian.

There are too many things in the Bible that have been proven accurate to think that ANY of it is an invention of mankind's imagination. Besides, there's too much in it that makes people (including Christians) uncomfortable.

If you don't believe it, why do you worry about us so much? We are happy KNOWING where we are going when we die. God is speaking to your heart, making you wonder these things, He wants you to accept Him, ask forgiveness for your sins. He will take away your burdens and worries. Once you ask Him into your heart, He opens your heart to many things you cannot understand until He is there. There is still plenty of things no one will understand until we live with God. But I am so glad I will be living with Him some day! When you have these questions, read the Bible and open up your heart, He will give you some of the answers you are looking for. He loves us all!!

Is their another kind of faith. You can disbelieve if you want, that's your choice and I'll respect it. But for some reason you can't respect me because I chose to take a chance, step out on faith, and believe in something. Now, I don't believe it, I know it to be true... all because I had the gumption to have "blind faith". You don't understand faith because you fear the unknown.

I don't know about the rest. But as for me, my belief can be proven by logic.
is there evidence of God’s existence? The Bible says that there is a builder for every house but he who built all things is God. ( Hebrew 3:4) This Biblical statement can be proven by the following logical argument.

Premise 1. Outputs = Inputs + process

Premise 2. For premise 1 to come about someone has to have the resources and power to do the process. Let him be called the Great Cause.

Premise 3. For every rule there is an exception.

Premise 4. The rule on exception can not be applied to any of the components on Premise 1 because it would be non-sense.

Premise 5. The rule on exception must therefore be applied to premise 2.

Conclusion: Therefore, the Great Cause ( the one w/ resources and sufficient might) was the one who caused Premise 1. Further He was not subject to Premise 1 by reason of premise 3.

Everyone just think on what is going to ensue...

What is fact and what is opinion? - Neither is technically truth, absolute fact.

Opinion - What someone thinks of something based on something else, like feelings.

Fact - When you get down to it is what someone thinks of something, BUT closer to truth since it is based on an observation and juxtaposed with what is [true].

In short fact is comparing what is to get out of it what must be.

Science is the art of finding the truth.

All that ^ mentioned above is truth, and little else if you think about it.

In Science, you have hypothesis which develope into Theories and those into sound Theories. Everything is debate-able.

What I find is utterly rediculous is that Christianity 2DAy, in this day and age when people are aloud to read is still largely an ideology which has no basis in the Bible;

No where in the Bible does it even inquire that Science is bad. Yet fools today follow the lies that were told to them by the ruling catholic churche CENTURIES AGO!

So in conclusion I find:

* The ignorant religious folk who know not what they're talking about

AND

* The ignorant atheists who don't really know what science or the Bibles (books) are really sayin, and JUST BELIEVE what they're told

ARE BOTH MUTUALLY ignorant. Peace!

You are right. Actually religion was made to keep that time wild communities under rules and regulations. It was followed from generation to generation and now one cannot dare to say anything against religion in public. Now we cant help for not following it. We have been brought up in this environment and that's why we are thinking this way.

Not only this but also it is in our hypothalamus part of then brain. Simple make a pray for five minutes and you will start feeling the magic of divine. But that is a false experience for what our ancestors believed.

So grow up and start thinking above your mind.....

Oh yeah, and our complex systems and intricate genetic workings just evolved from a single celled micro organism??

Evolution is the one that doesnt make sense, honey so you can go on believing some scientific info that doesnt make sense (the big bang) that states the universe was created by a micoscopic piece of rock that exploded (which defies the laws of conservation of matter and energy) and that humans evolved from monkeys.... my question is why did they stop evolving? Just leave us who choose to belive alone.
