Going to end up as taxable income next year?
I remember the child rebates the gov't gave back in the 90's ended up being taxable income...it came as a suprise for a lot of people.

No they will not be taxable, since the excise tax was not tax deductible at the time when you paid it. Government simply decided to reverse the tax, so I am very sure it will not be taxable.

No it won't be taxable.

The child tax credits that got distributed early the first year didn't end up taxable the next year. It was just that if you got it early, you didn't get it a second time when you filed your return for that year.
