I had one removed because I supposibly violated something. My question was about my puppy, it was actually more of a sharing of facts. There was absolutly nothing obscene or rude about it!

Violations aren't just for content that is inappropriate. Content that isn't a question or answer are also a violation. Since you mentioned that the post was less of a question and more sharing facts, it violates Yahoo!'s Code. Sorry, but it does count as a violation.

Yahoo will automatically remove anything that isn't in a specific question format.

There are also people who can hit the report abuse button and report the 'question'. With enough abuse reports, the question can be removed from the community.

If your questioned was wrongly removed you can contact Yahoo about it as well.

Hope this helps!

Bad luck! Check the community guidelines - I've read them and I believe your not supposed to post anything that isn't in question form- so announcements probably aren't allowed. They're not saying you've been obscene or anything!

was it in the form of a question? or just a statement? that could be the cause,,,,,, other then that,,,,,, if you feel you received a violation notice and it was not warrented,,,,, click the link on that email, for customer feedback (or it might say reply or problems click here),,,,,,,, let them know your feelings,,,,,,, often they reverse the violation
i believe the system is automatic, as to violations,,,,,,, it just takes someone clicking on report abuse for a question or answer to be removed

Internet is very funny about certain things and if they feel it is being violated then they have every right to do so where we like it or not. Maybe the fact they didn't like.

Last time I checked I thought abuse was like writing profanity, racial slurs or any discussion about sex that makes you feel inappropriate...not deciding what's and what's not a question? What are they going to block my comment because it's "abusing" people...What kind of chat is this, Yahoo! Answers?

Don't take it personal. Some people just like to hit the report flag.

um...well i got mine removed because it wasn't really a question. i asked 'do you like this photo of my dog?' and supposedly, we should be asking questions that are questions. i guess we both had the same problem! tell me your facts

Probably right click, then click on cut. It should be gone.
