The question really is, Do you want to have a religion? The fact of whether there should or shouldn't be religion is irrelevant as there will ALWAYS be religion.

I don't believe in any religion what so ever. This question can go both ways though. Does religion create havoc? or does it create some sort of peace and order in people. That's why religion was created...to control people, keep them in line. If you thought of a way to create, a list of 10 things that an all powerful, all magical, all knowing being up in the sky, does not want you to do...would you do it? it would sure scare a few million primitive people, who would basically believe anything they were told. Religion is a stupid idea created by primitive people, and in no way belongs to civilized people of the 21st century.

Before I can honestly answer your question...let me say this. There is a vast difference between "religion" and a personal relationship with God. (regardless of denomination)

I am not a big fan of "religion" but I would gladly give my life to hold on to my personal relationship with God because it is what makes life worth living.

I think we can do without "religion" in the general sense because it is man made...not made by God/Jesus. And because it is man made, it has been the root cause of a great deal of pain and suffering and argument. But, this world would be a far better place if more people would have a personal relationship with their God for then they would be obedient to his word in all ways and would stop following their own agenda.

No there should not be religion because religion is most confusing, vain, and traditionally customized to fit in as counterfeit reality to avoid the truth about the Creator of all things!

Peace,

Hope

All religion should cease because the idea of a god or creator is absurd, yet it used to justify greed, war and hatred.

Yes. There is nothing wrong with faith so long as you don't prosyletize or judge others for their belief or lack thereof.
