...Your god is the "one true god', when so, so, soooo many came before it. Furthermore, your whole religion is the jumbled mess that came out a retarded -faith-based chop-shop. Compiled of the beliefes of many religions that came before yours.

I'm actually not trying to provoke anyone here. But uh, someone said "whatever". I'm not lyin', the whole dang belief system is based on the beliefes of others who YOU say are wrong.

You people are honestly saying no one believed in any "GOD" before the judeo'christian God? Honestly? You REALLY think that?

Sorry if the "retarded chop shop" comment offended, but it was the best form of sybolism i could think of. The religion honestly reminds me of a chopshop... "Oh this looks good, we'll put it in OUR book"

Jesus said He was the only way.

What separates Christianity from the others?

First, it is a personal relationship with Jesus that saves you, not joining an institutional religion.

Second- Jesus was raised from the Dead in fulfillment of prophecy.

Lighten up a bit.

Who around, except for a few fanaticals, is going to debate such a topic.

If you were in the Religion Business, such as a Pope, or a Mininster, or a Bishop, what would you say to corral your flock into submission?

Would you go around saying your "god is questionalbly the true God?" Hardly so, you'd have no business and have to shut down.

So Moses brought the tablets down from the mountain and proclaimed the word of God. People scrambled and eventually obeyed. Muhammed proclaimed the Koran the voice of God. Otherwise people simply will not listen to the works of a human, it has to be God.

One cannot threaten people with the work a man. No fear in that whatsoever.

Think of Religion as a business and a control over the masses to do as is deemed best for the individuals and the State, a message from God whoever that God might be.

Dont take it too seriously, otherwise you will be caught in a blindfold as to the reality.

Are you kidding me? If a Christian really believes, they must believe that their God is teh one true God, otherwise they would not be Christian.

Why do people so actively try to debunk the Christian religion? Are you afraid of it? Do you not understand it? I invite you to really study and don't do some drugstore analysis of a person's personal beliefs before you really know what you're talking about.

I am a Christian, and believe me, I am quite sane and quite intelligent. I was raised a Christian, but have asked the tough questions, dug deeply for the right answers, questioned the authorities of the church and found myself to remain a Christian.

Do you really think you can prove that there is no God? Do you really believe that belief in a a higher being has no place in society? Do you really believe that all people should believe in the same shallow beliefs that are your own?

Wow, how bold and presumtuous of you...

The one true God being that our God is the only God we believe in. What do you care what we believe in whether it be one God of fifty. The jumbled mess you speak of helps operate faith based charity and goodwill across the globe. How can something that is based on goodness to one another be deemed a bad thing to you or anyone else. If I wasnt brought up believeing what this jumbled mess of a religion taught me, I may have grown to be a selfish cynical person who loved noone but myself. Sound like anyone you know?

According to your profile you are a confessed aetheist. But, it seems you have a problem. You claim that there were so many gods before the Christian God. I'll turn the table now: WHERE IS YOUR PROOF--since you do not believe in god(s)?

Christianity is based on a retard-faith chop chop. So many religions came before it. WHERE IS YOUR proof?

Atheists, if you are really a sincere one, loves to ask for proof. Now is our time to ask for the proofs of your allegations.

I am an Orthodox Christian and I have never said that my God is the one true God. I believe in him and he's the only one for me. But I respect everyone's beliefs and I think that in the end, we all believe in the same thing. It's just important to be a good human being, preaching love and tolerance.

Bold? Or misplaced arrogance?

Jesus said he is the only way.
What they don't finish off there is that Jesus said he is the only way to the father. Into the Kingdom of Heaven.

There are so many more options than simply Heaven or Hell in the afterlife, but they don't want to hear that.

Consider this...

In the Old Testament, it says that the name of God is Jealousy.
It also says that jealousy is a poison to the soul ...

2+2=???

God is the alpha and omega-the beginning and the end. There were no other gods before Him. He created the men who decided to go their own way and in turn, created their own gods and goddesses, who by the way, have all come up empty on the fruitful scale.

I won't debate the Bible with you, and honestly, I too have had doubts about taking the Bible literally, but Christianity comes down to one point. Do you believe Christ is who he says he is; The Son of God? You either believe this point or you don't. All else is really secondary.

Have you ever asked any of the gods this question?...ooops, sorry...there's only one left to ask. Perhaps that's got something to do with it!?!

"Christian" means like Christ (the man), and yes, he was around only about 2000 years ago. But his Dad pre-dates history. I don't know anyone else that goes back that far?!

Proof of other god's please?

Proof that MOST religions came before Christianity please?

Proof that we are the retarded-faith-based-chop-shop people rather than the one who asked this question?
