It would depend on the Christian's motivation for not speaking up...you cannot know what is in someone's heart.

If a Christian doesn't defend an innocent, then they are betraying Christ and commiting a sin.

no individual fairly is acquainted with for certain what the "sin unto lack of life" is. a million John 5:16 If anybody sees his brother sinning a sin which does no longer bring about lack of life, he will ask, and he will supply him life in the event you dedicate sin no longer ensuing in lack of life. there is sin ensuing in lack of life. i do no longer say that he could pray about that. yet i can allow you to know this a lot. the in simple terms unforgiveable sin is to reject Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. Hebrews 10:11 and each and each and every priest stands ministering each and on a daily basis and providing many times an similar sacrifices, that can under no circumstances remove sins. 12 yet this guy, after He had presented one sacrifice for sins always, sat down on the right hand of God, 13 from that aspect waiting till eventually His enemies are made His footstool. 14 For via one providing He has perfected always those who're being sanctified. 15 notwithstanding the Holy Spirit also witnesses to us; for after He had stated before, 16 "that's THE COVENANT THAT i'll MAKE WITH THEM AFTER those DAYS, SAYS THE LORD: i'll positioned MY regulations INTO THEIR HEARTS, AND of their MINDS i'll WRITE THEM," 17 then He supplies you, "THEIR SINS AND THEIR LAWLESS DEEDS i'll keep in innovations no more advantageous."

A person not defending innocents is called 'Timid". Not everyone turns into a hero just by following a particular religion even though that is expected of him.

This is a great question. Maybe it could be considered a sin but, I think that it would not only be unfair to the person who was innocent but you'd be imprisoning yourself. Knowing that you could have helped someone, and not helping them, is something that you will have to live w/ for the rest of your life. Even if you ask the Lord to forgive you, he'd forgive you, but could you ever forgive yourself?

It happens many times. Even today a christian behaved that way against me. Though I am disturbed by that behaviour, I accept that many christians are hyprocites.

Yes. We must stand for what we believe is right even if it means going against the powerful.

Yes, see James 4:17 Therefore, to him who knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin.
