I've been wanting to curl my hair for ages but never really know if i should go for the perm. I usually use the curling iron on special occasions but the curl only lasts inevitably til the shower bit!! I know about the damage that comes with the package but i really want to curl my hair? permanently at least, and not just use rollers..
I really want a change as well because my hair's always been straight as silk..
however also because my hair's always been so naturally straight i'm afraid that when the perm wears off it'd never go back to its natural state again.
My mum is telling me to lay off the perm as well as saying i'd look better with straight hair while my friends all loved the curled hair after the rollers so i really don't know what to do! I really want this though.
I'd love for some advice!!

you can get a perm that wont damage your hair if you go to the right sylist , you ask for a loose curl that looks natural . i would get one if i were you and you need a change , i say go for it ! i am a master sylist at a salon for 20 years and we do very natural perms , when your perm grows out , your hair will be in the exact same condition that it was if you take good care of it and keep up with your cuts every 6 weeks , youll look marvelous !!!!!!!!

I think you should definitely perm your hair... im assuming you're still young and this is probably the only time in your entire life that you will consider perming your hair, as its not really an option as you get older....and hair grows out and your hair will eventually return to its normal state if you don't like it...clearly you like curly hair, so i think you should definitely do the perm....and if you go to a reputable and good salon, they'll make sure your hair will turn out really good....

Go for the perm!! take it from the curl master, you'll definitely like it better, and you get more girls.

please please lay off the perm. thats so 80's. if you want to curl your hair and make it last longer have it thinned, over time hair gets thicker beside getting longer. perms never turn out the way i want them to. go with straight hair and have it thinned and curl it yourself.
