Okay, this guy i know is older than me, like i'm 17, hes 23 kind of older. He has some bad **** in his past and a kid, twins actually. But ever since I met him almost a year ago, hes been nothing but cool. He helped me alot, like me getting over being raped by my ex, and just finding out two of my grandparents have terminal cancer. hes been by my side through my mom and her boyfriend and all their stupid fights that put holes in our walls. We were friends up until a month ago and now he wants to get serious. I love him, I just dont know if I should. My older sister tells me to drop him, kids and background baggage are never good. But what about HIM? I just don't feel right dropping him, not only because I love him, but because I think he needs a good influence and someone who cares right now. I wanna be there for him. COULD IT WORK???!!!

Has nothing to do with us, babygirl your asking the wrong crowd. What you need to realize is purpose. What is his and what is yours, because in the end love doesn't make forever. Wish it was that easy, but your on the right road, history is a pillar to a relationship, espacially good history. But I'll say it can work if you both share the same purpose outside the whole love thing. That you both living your lives for a reason that is mutally benifitial towards the fact that you guys love each other. In the past it was family, making one, and supporting one. The love laid the foundation, and the rest was want acutal kept the relationship together. So if he can see you and him, making a family, helping out your exsisting family, and doing everything you and him can do to improve that family, then you stand a chance in hell, anything less then its going the same way as most other relationships I see on here.... find that purpose, yo
