No!
War just leads to more war, hatred and death. It is a simple concept that we refuse to get because the corporations that benefit from war need us to keep buying their wares.
Since attacking those countries we have seen more incidents of terrorism and more animosity towards the West...
Support the troops: bring them home.

No matter how anyone feels about the war, our troops deserve our support. Freedom isn't "free", sometimes it is paid with the ultimate sacrifice.
Where do you get your information? When was the last time you actually "spoke" with any of our soldiers? Ask them if they think it's "worth it", I think their answer would surprise you.
We have family and friends who are there, or have been there. They do not share your point of view. All of them would rather fight the war "over there", than here. All of them would go back if necessary, some already have. You, and everyone with your point of view, are only "free" because of the sacrifices made by our soldiers.
It's very easy to sit back while you're "safe in your home", and judge the people who make the tough decisions, decisions you couldn't make.
Personally I couldn't care less if our soldiers have to "shoot their way out of a traffic jam". I'm not there, it's not my call to make - it's not yours either.
How can you speak for the Afghanistan people? Are you one of them? Have you been there? How you could you or anyone else who hasn't been there possibly know what there "wishes" are? How do you know that "nobody feels safe anymore when American troops are around"?
Stop speaking for everyone else, you don't know what you're talking about.

I believe that about 650,000 Iraqis have been killed in the four years since the American led invasion of Iraq whereas the greatest estimate of the number killed during Saddam Hussein's 14 year rule was 500,000.
When subjected to an illegal invasion and occupation, one can sympathise with the Iraqi attitude to the occupying forces that facilitate the plundering of the country by US business.
The UK should not be in Iraq or Afghanistan and should pull out as soon as possible along with other 'coalition' partners so that the US gangsters stand alone in the blood bath of their own making.

o'yam.....
The fact that you call our fighting men who are dying "boys" show me your lack of military, middle-eastern and American history and why we are in the middle east. I'm not even going to go into the fact that you are a sexist.....because you either don't know or care that American women are involved in this war. And your lack of sensitivity to female soldiers and your ignorance that they too are dying clearing exemplifies that you don't care if women soldiers die....only what you what you call "boy".
I spent 18 months in Iraq.....working with our men and women every day. I also spoke personally (most times with a translator) to over 1000 Iraqi citizens. Never did I hear even a hint that Iraqis believe killing American soldiers is is acceptable.
All you are doing is repeating things you hear and accept as the truth. If someone told you that a movie you really wanted to see actually sucked would you just except their word and not see the movie..........or go see it and decide for yourself.
Same with Iraq....If you want to really know what is happening you should do there. Just somethig to consider......

No life is worth it. The peoples of these countries should be left alone to sort their own countries out. Nothing against the American people but would the like to be occupied by any other country? I don't think so.

Before sending any troops any where you have to learn a bit about culture of the people in that places. The trouble is that East and West cultures are completely different. You can learn language of another country but you have to understand it in the first place. if in the Middle East western countries will see just gas, oil and danger of the nuclear energy no way it will take us anywhere. And STOP sending any troops anywhere!! What For??

I have a number of friends in the army who have been or are in Iraq and Afghanistan. They all tell me that they know what they have signed up for and believe whole heartedly that the wars they are fighting are just and are passionate about being there. While we civvies may not feel its 'worth it,' most of our soldiers think it is.

Well, all of your premises are incorrect, the majority of Iraqi's want Americans to stay until stability is in place and the people of Afghanistan do not want the Taliban to return. As for it being worthwhile, it depends on how you feel about the freedom of 50 million people.

funny cause yesterday the people in Iraq were celebrating the anniversary of the taking of Baghdad. Freedom is not free. If these people(liberals) were in this country in the late 1700's we would all still be loyal subjects of the queen.

Yes, that is why you join the military to fight. It is the innocent women and children that are being killed that you should be crying for, the men can handle themselves. That's why were here.
