Nothing, take the day off girl. Don't hurt yourself. If you are sick, you are weakened. If you are weakened you will be a shell of the competitive you are. And if your legs should come out from undert you you may get some facial road rash. It is not worth it.

The water is a good idea. Helps a LOT.

Heres something that athletes often do not realize. Nobody preforms at 100%. Nobody is EVER feeling 100% during any compitition, game, event, meet etc. Theres always going to be something thats wrong with your body when it's go time, and you just have to deal with it and play through it.

heres an example. 3rd in state hurdler was on my team last year, during the state meet he had the stomach flu, which sucks. He barfed before and after the race and still got 3rd.

Suck it up and have fun!

My recommendation would be not to go, but if you feel you have to, the best thing you can do temporarily is use steam to help clear your sinuses so you can breath. I would also recommend using a halls cough drop. It's good for running noses. Good luck. make sure you drink lots of water before the meet.

If you feel that bad, don't go. I know that's not what you want to hear, but if you go when you're this under the weather, you will end up getting sicker. Instead of missing just this one track meet, you will miss the next two or three as you try to recover. It's just not worth it.

Do not take medicine, if it is going to clear up your head and chest it may make you feel tired and sleepy. Drink water, relax.
