I don't think such kind of technology or surgery exist at this time. But I tell you it's not a good idea, not fair for the child to carry the old man's memory, remember it could not be a selective memory right? What if the old man had lots of baggage while he was alive... that will be unfair for the child since he will be carrying the same baggage that person has.

The memory storage of the brain still isnt explored fully. As far as we know, there is no specific place that could be removed.
