We are going strong after a year and 4 months, and we chatted a LOT and knew quite a bit about each other...but could it have made for a better relationship if we let the friendship build before acting out on our attractions the first time we met in person?
Thanks!

It is always best to know each other before sex. That's not to say it never works, there are people still together that met that way. I've always found a relationship works better though when sex is not rushed into right away. I'd rather love my friend than a stranger. Good luck!

This is something that cannot be answered universally for everyone. There are many factors that go into determining whether a relationship is going to work or not. Your feelings, your partner's feelings, timing, baggage, etc. I would say if you had been speaking online for 6 months prior to your date, you would know each other fairly well though and so having sex could seem to be appropriate.

No, it is not bad. But it is risky. We can pretend to be anyone we want to be on the net. You need to get to know a person a little bit. Chatting, even over a long term is still make - believe. However I have been guilty of the same thing. . . .

It sounds like all is good. You are still together after all. My guy and I are taking our relationship painfully slow. Sometimes it is difficult, because I want things to move along faster. But I think we will be stronger in the end for it. Everyone is different. What works for me may not work for you. And I do think you can grow a friendship and still be intimate.

just because to meet on the neet doesnt mean that you wont have a great relationship with your bf your already know alot about each other that makes you closer together and u alredy had the attraction the firt time you both meet in person......so dont worry you will have a great relationship if your were already friends or not

Its not bad but much better if you know him more in personal.. I think you can make love with him if he propose a marriage to you! but we did the same way hehe

You chatted with this guy for HALF A YEAR... that's around 1/150th of your entire lifetime.
I think that's long enough to wait.

a year and 4 months, you are fine stop feeling guilty about it clearly if it was a bad move he would have not called you ever again
