my kids get frequent colds and never have chest colds but have persistent night time coughs. i've tried cool mist humidifiers, steamy bathrooms, cool air, cough medicine, sitting them up, calming them down. seems i've tried everything and can't get the cough to stop. does anyone out there have any other suggestions? i'd appreciate something that truly works

Try this, when I get a cold I take this for 3 times a day for 3 days and the cold is completely gone. Or first sign of a cold take it 3 times in a day and it will be gone. Get a big mug, put a chicken bovril in the cup and boil the water. Put a 1/2 a teaspoon of pureed garlic and a 1/2 of teaspoon of pureed ginger in the mug. Fill it will boiling water, stir and drink it as warm as you can and then eat the garlic and ginger in the bottom of the cup. There is something about the combinations that gets rid of a cold immediately . the garlic purifies the virus from the blood stream and the ginger does something I can't quite remember but it works. trust me, it has saved my life many of times. take care Heather

Why on earth are you using cool mist humidifiers or cool air on them? Sounds to me like that is part of the problem. The next thing you need to do, instead of writing this question on Yahoo is to see a doctor, A.S.A.P. It sounds to me like they may have asthma and all the things you've been doing are making matters worse.
