The answer is because God wanted me to pray directly to him and not to worship a human being, as I was taught by the Christians, Jesus was a prophet not the son of God.
Obvious when you think about it!

Listen all you Christians, I was baptised, confirmed took holy communion the works.
But it still doesn't mean that Jesus is God, or the Son of God!
Do yourselves a favour read the Quran and embrace God directly!

Let me clarify something, firstly the Quran accepts Jews and Christians as people of the Book, nowhere does it say thay Muslims should destroy Christians, they are good people, as are Jews.
Both Jews and Christians can go to heaven too, but they are mistaken in placing Jesus before God!

People fighting over Religion is not restricted to Muslims only.
Muslims are passionate about religion,but I see many passionate responses from Christians too!

The religion in its self is a good religion. their is very little difference between Islam and Christianity we must not forget the Jewish religion also, these three religions are the result of Abraham who is the father of these three religions. I feel that they should be mixed together and made into the religion of Abrahamism as we are his children and there are so many similarities these religions lived side by side before the terrible crusades which were the work of greed men. if not for them spiritual love would still reign throughout the world.

Probably because you never heard the true Gospel or had a genuine conversion in Christ. You probably experienced nothing more than empty religion and false lessons in morality or obligation.
Christianity isn't about that....but unfortunately alot of mainstream religious churches don't seem to know it. The Pharisees and scribes in the NT didn't know it either. He was standing right before them, and they didn't recognize Him. (But the prostitutes, thieves, murderers, and other "especially wicked sinners" not only recognized Him, but they flocked to Him in droves.) Why? Because Christ heals, He accepts us as we are, He is powerful, and He loves. But you have to hear the truth about Him, to experience that....they heard the truth, so they ran to Him. Obviously, you never heard the truth.
Hang on to your hat - you aren't going to find much to satisfy with Islam either. Find someone who knows the Word of God, who is Spirit-filled and faith-filled and can lead you to Christ. Then open your heart, hold on, and get ready for some major life-changes!

You were probably disalusioned by hypocritical christians and turned off christianity itself because of it. My advise is to look past what some "christians" are and look to Christ himself as revealed in the bible. Remember, Jesus offers you eternal life if you repent and trust in Him. Islam can not give you any guarantee you will be saved, because it is a works based religion, and you will never know if you've done enough to buy God's favour. Trust in Jesus and accept His free gift to you, offered without price..........good luck in your search for truth and God bless.

By the very definition of a True Christian you could not possibly have been a Christian. There fore you are not an "ex" christian... no one of The True Christian Faith would ever convert to any thing else...most especially to a cult that is sworn to exterminate all Christians..... you are just another deceived individual who has been perverted by one of satan's deceptions.

You didn't say why you converted to Islam. Was it for doctrinal or personal reasons? If you converted for personal reasons I will not argue with you on that. But if you converted because you believe there is no salvation outside of Islam I think you made a terrible mistake. There is no salvation outside of Jesus Christ.

i was born a catholic i left the church for certain reasons went into paganism then i was saved through the grace of Allah and i am finally at peace. now worship god and god alone with no idols involved but that doesn't make me better than anyone else. you should read about Iblis and how his ignorance caused his fall

I'm glad that you found what feels right to you. However to my knowledge only Roman Catholics confess sins to men. Most Christians confess directly to God.
