I use the King James Version of the Holy Bible. I Pray that the Holy Ghost interpret it for me and reveal the Truth of God's Holy Scriptures. Praise God.

2 Peter 1:20 - Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. 21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

my favorite is the New American standard, for study, I like the amplified, and if you like the king James, and have trouble with the thees and thous, try the New king James. the living bible is a good parallel, but not a true translation. My wife favorite is the NIV, and it would be my second choice, I used to have 5 different translation that I would read simultaneously to see if there was a mistranslation from the King James, and the ones I found, were more accurate according to the Strong's concordance. I also used it, and the
Vine's dictionary of new testament words.

I read the King James because it's the most relevant to one of my main interests, which is literature. Plus, it leaves in all the dirty parts. I hate the Amplified, I find it totally unreadable.

I use the NIV version. King James is an awesome version and I use to use it. When I got baptized, my pastor gave me a NIV Bible and I really like it too!

Much is lost in the NIV. I have always loved, and will always use the KJV. It is the most lyrical and poetic of all the translations, and is actually the easiest to understand.

I use a parallel Bible with KJV and NIV. I really like it. My old Bible was a Salen Kirban Referance Bible and it was good also but used KJV only.
