Rev: 13 ..and it was given to him (the beast) to blaspheme God...to curse the hosts of heaven and...to make war with His saints and overcome them.

Please rent and watch 'Schindler's List' and note how the Jewish people (on one day were legitimate and free) and how on another day --they were criminals. Note how some were lamenting that the nazi's walked into their houses and told them to leave. Watch the scene where a nazi is watching a man pack a small suitcase and anything that has value is 'stolen' right then.

It's going to happen again. When, I don't know. What national army or armies, I don't know. Who is the beast, I don't know. I do KNOW he won't arrive on the scene calling himself 'the beast'. Comments, Thoughts, Ruminations.

The antichrist is setting up his world right this minute. The children of Satan are every where and spiritual warfare is being fought in heaven and on the earth.

Bill, you know I respect you and even consider you a friend. But this is just downright wacky.

I can't help but think it would be more "Christian" to concern yourself with what is actually happening in the real world right now than in some possible future. There are millions being oppressed all over the world for all sorts of "reasons" - probably some not so very far from where you live.

I've heard the argument so many times that without belief in the afterlife with God there is no reason to live a good life, or even to live at all. To me that very belief - heaven, hell etc - is what is making many people live atrocious lives now. If it were only themselves they hurt then I'd let them get on with it, but if the ramifications of living for the next life cause people to disregard others' lives in their quest, then I can't stay silent.

Life might be precious, but isn't living that life even more so?

No possibility at all! Christianity is a religion. You can book a few as criminals but not all the members of a religion that turn out perhaps to be over billions. A criminal offence is resultant to a criminal act. Could you name that criminal act you are afraid of? Belief and faith do not constitute a criminal act. I am a Christian by belief and faith. As long as I live within the true tenets of Christianity I will be hailed as a responsible citizen deserving respect. If I cross my territory and intrude into others, then the chance is that I can be termed as a criminal. I do not intend to do so and I am safe, sure and secure as a Christian citizen in a progressive secular country. India is one. lileeann33 - India

Relax, if you feel like the world is in a downward spiral heading towards Hell, you are right. That is how it is going to play out. It's going to get harder and harder on Christians. Here is the kick though, Christians have an eternity to spend in paradise, so what's the problem with a little temporary trouble. The only reason to obsess over the end times is if you are sure you are going to be on the winning team.
A curiosity is okay, but don't lose sleep. God wins.

I think of this sometimes. We are so lucky to live in this great nationwhere to this point we can practice our beliefs without fear, this is not true in many parts of the world. God truly blessed this nation but we are letting it slip away. I am 58 years old and was a grown man before I met an atheist. Now people make fun of us for believing in a God that loves us so much that he forgives our sins and will judge us on how much we forgave our fellow man. I could ruminate for pages, I don't worry too much because I also believe that God will do exactly what He said "ask and we hall recieve" and that is what I do and he keeps his word and just by taking a moment to pray my decision making has improved. Not in North America, Europe or Australasia.

I wouldn't take those prophecies too literally.

There are many religions which are being persecuted across the world, which very few people seem to care about, however. The situation of the Baha'is in Iran is particularly appalling.

All things in life are to be and one can't change the future anymore than the past all we can do is arm ourselves with the knowledge of what to expect, how long to expect it and signs that will show of the coming times. When/If any of these things occur during our times than stand firm with what you have and try to help others this is all we can/are expected to do - stand firm!

I am in another country other than my truly yet free home of the USA where there isn't as much freedom, yet "freedom" of religion is protected under the monarchy. However, I do fe"ar the day that ends....cannot write much more b/c of laws here....

According to what I have studied, the Anti-Christ will only rule over 1/4 of the Earth.

But, if that would happen in this country:

Bring it on!
I have been ready along time to go Home (Planet Heaven)!
I AM only hanging around to help Other people.
Family.
Friends.
Locals.
Who ever GOD wants me to help!
Ditto...................

Personally I wouldn't want to make it a criminal offense to be religious or spiritual. It can even stay protected as far as I'm concerned. I simply want to be protected to. My rights as an individual should be protected to be allowed to be FREE FROM Religion if I chose. Religious people shouldn't be allowed to proselytize. If someone asks them to, that would be one thing, but I don't want to hear that crap at my door, or on public streets, or see religious verses in government buildings. I don't want them lobbying congress or anyone else. You worship your god at home or at church. THAT'S where it belongs.
