I was invited to an Easter dinner at my friend's parents house with their whole family tonight. I am taking a honey baked ham - should I take it on the bone or cut it up before I go and take it on a platter?

Me personally, I'd take it there uncarved along with a platter. Carve it in the kitchen and put it on the platter there for serving. If someone tried to carve it at the table it could get messy, like staining the tablecloth, knocking over glasses, etc... So just take it whole and carve in their kitchen.

Whatever you decide to do.... You Must.....
Save the bone and make soup. Honor that pig by using every last bit of it. Split pea or a bean soup is always good, or you could use it in a base for an Asian style noodle soup if you have the skills.
