What should we do about overpopulation?

Great ideas, but I think we the U.S. should definately be an example,but I think population control should be a United Nations issue.

I think that the US and other large countries should have population laws-- like 1 or 2 kids per family.

That way, no living people would be getting hurt or killed because of this.

If I was president of the US, I would definitely enforce a population law.

Is seems as if too many people want families like the ones seen in Cheaper by the Dozen and Yours, Mine, and Ours.

Besides, the more kids you have in your family, the less money you have. Therefore, population laws would make everyone richer!

laws would be too invasive, we seem to be controlling mother nature, killing people is not cool....i think that corporations seem to have a productive way of sheeping the north americans into doing whatevr "needs to be done" in their eyes, so all we have to do is somehow convince a corporation that they stand to make alot of money by programming people to not reproduce, but then, we'd have toys-r-us, the gap, etc....fighting tooth and nail and nothing would still get accomplished.....i know, we could get rid of cars completely....who would have more than a couple of kids if they had to walk, bike, or use public transportation everywhere? that'd cleanup the air...we'd all be physically fit...oh what a happy world it would be.

In the past seventy-five years, the most effective means of overpopulation has been the terrorists that have somehow gained positions of power in the world.

Bush is one of modern history's worst mass-murders and some people think he's some kind of hero, just as some people thought so highly of Stalin, Hitler, Amin and Hussein. Too bad we have just bloodthirsty cretins in the world.

Nature tends to resolve its own overpopulation problems. i.e. the lemmings ...not that I think a bunch of humans are going to throw themselves off of cliffs, although I can think of some that need to. Pandemics of mutated strains of flus, viruses and such will probably be the type of thing that 'corrects' the balance in nature with humans.

I think nature will take care of it and some new disease or plague will mutate and wipe out half the population and restore the balance. Nature has a way of correcting itself.

Simple, encourage cannibalism amongst the countries that are the most heavily overpopulated.

It would be more than a mere coincidence that countries that are overpopulated usually have large groups of people suffering from starvation, so in practice, cannibalism would essentially kill two birds with one stone...

However, it goes without saying, that there would be plenty of moral outrage with such practices... However, definitions of morality, would be a different question altogether...
