I'm in law enforcement, and while on patrol around midnight (right before easter) I ran across something very bizzare. There were several hispanics in a circle. Inside the circle, was another circle of candles...The strangest parts, was the 5 or 6 black chickens (I think they were chickens) that were clucking around everyone. The group of people were in a closed area, so I had to give them the boot. They were very reluctant to leave, stating that they wanted to finish praying. Does anyone have any clue on what the heck was going on? Were they going to sacrifice the black chickens? Was this a cult?

The chickens were actually very tame. One of them let me pet it before the other pecked me in the hand (kinda hurt). They are still in the campground where the ceremony or ritual took place. I've been told by a fellow officer that they are Bantam chickens. Hopefully this helps, as I'm still having reaccuring nightmares from this incident.

I can tell you that it doesn't sound like a Wiccan service based on the few details you've given. It might be some form of Santeria, but that's not a religion that usually has Hispanic members, at least as far as I know.

As for chickens... from the sound of it, they were running around? You'd think if these people were going to sacrifice them, they'd keep them under better control. ;-) (Not that I'd know from experience, since Wiccans don't participate in animal sacrifice).

Hi, that sure was a freaky experience for you,it sounds almost like Voodoo or something of that nature, surprising though as most Hispanics are Christian people, still old superstitious habits still survive in the minds of some groups.

Ha ha, you're a humorous, humorous guy. "devil" has no more advantageous impression over the music organization than the different organization. that's in simple terms nonetheless an similar Baptists ministers accusing Jerry Lee Lewis of playing the "Devils" music (any music it truly is no longer Baptist hymns). John Lennon replaced right into a fantastic family individuals guy, and so is Paul McCartney. Ever heard of that area the position Jesus stated now to not evaluate others? per chance you need to re-examine it.
