When I inhale or take deep breaths it hurts my lungs, and not like the muscle around it, it feels like the actual lung itself.
I am also kinda short of breath. I have a slight cough. I first got this pain yesterday and now my neck, my shoulders and my back hurts. I don't smoke, I don't drink, I don't do any drugs, and I don't do anything that could risk my health. The only way I can describe the pain, is that it feels that when I take a deep breath some one is like squeezeing my lungs. I am 15 and I am not to concerned about it because I have had it before and I went to the doctor and he said it was a sinus infection, and that was the same pain in my lungs that I am having now. Do you think it is a sinus infection, a lung infection, pneumonia, bronchitis, pleurisy, or something else. And if you could I would like to know some ways to help it. And please don't say visit the doctor, because if it doesn't go away, I am going to go to the doctor. Thank you all for your answers and time

I also had a few problems a couple of months ago with aching muscles and chest, cough (and termperature).
After 3 drs, one did a blood test as he thought (rather than asthma or common chest infection) it was something like whooping cough or Mycoplasm (walking (mild) pneumonia).
I had a blood test (I HATE needles, it was my 2nd blood test ever!!), and it was the latter. I had already been on antibiotics, but I needed a stronger dose to get rid of this.....now several weeks later, I am as good as new.

If you are coughing lots you can pull muscles in your back etc (I had a sore nect, side and back!) as well as around your stomach.
I suggest you go back to the Dr (it should be considered a follow up for the same thing....which is not treated) and maybe ask if its bronchitis, cheast infection, pnumonia etc. If it goes on for more than 2 weeks especially. PERSISTANCE! If you are not getting better, and not getting anywhere with your Dr, go to someone else! It will also give you peace of mind, which can also help greatly.

Get a pieceof paper.
OK! Write this down.

How long has this been going on? Does this happen all the time, or 'now and then. " What is"now and then" How often, how long. ??
Pain, 0 is, no pain, 10 is worst pain imaginable. rate it.
When it happens, what are you doing? Sitting, laying down, walking, running, ???
What helps?? Aspirin, nyquil, alka seltzer???
WHERE is the pain, in the front, back, below the ribs, above the ribs,???

When you blow your nose, what does it look like. Clear, yellow, green???
Anything else???

So often, when people go to the dr, they're upset and forget something. That's why i said, "write it down.""

Good liuck.

It could be a myriad of things. However, have the doctor do a chest xray and other tests to pin point the problem. My Mother had pleurisy when they lived in a specific state. The old time doctor told my Father to move her out of state. He did and she never had a problem again. She told me how painful it was. Of course, again, please rely on a professional. Good luck!

well i thinnk like you think its most likely a sinus infection, if its happened before then most likely its the same if youve never been diagnosed with anything else serious, its not bronciectisis youd be coughing bloody mucus, broncietis youd have a high fever and probably be to sick to be on the computer right now, you dont have asthma, unless your wheezing most likely, pna youd be pretty sick fever dizzy sweating. just go with the obvious unless youve been a sickly child your too young to be worrying about pnas, broncitis, ect.

could be neumonia and the only way is going to the doctor and having and x ray if that's what it is you need antibiotics and may be a nebulizer or inhaler
