This is an extremely easy cake to make, and it is probably the best homemade chocolate cake I have ever tasted. Many homemade cakes end up rather dry and lack flavor, but this cake is extremely moist. Another asset is that the top ends up almost completely flat, so it's easy to decorate. I almost didn't need any frosting on this cake because of its moistness. I'm a HUGE chocolate cake fan, and this is the first recipe that I decided to stick with. Teenage girls will LOVE this, trust me. :) This comes from a website where users rate the recipes, and this one has 5 out of 5 stars, and almost 200 people have rated it!

One thing to note: IT WILL SEEM WATERY. You have done nothing wrong; it's supposed to be like that. Another tip; where it says to grease and FLOUR? Use cocoa powder instead of the flour. That way, everything stays nice and chocolatey. Delicious! Hope this makes the grade for you; even if you don't end up making it for the birthday, I suggest making it another time for the sheer yumminess. Enjoy!

Wacky Chocolate Cake - You mix it up in the same pan that you are baking it in. It's really easy. Here is a link for the recipe. Make sure you use cocoa powder and not chocolate milk powder like Quick or Ovaltine!
