Every time I shut my computer down it says there is a "runtime error with windows". I have Windows Vista and wanted to know what that means and how to fix it. Any help would be much appreciated.

Everythime my computer shuts down it says there is a runtime error. The window pops up pretty fast but it reads.
c:/windows/system23... I think there is a little more to the code than that.

Without a more detailed description of the error you're encountering, its quite difficult to determine the fix.

You mentioned that "every time" you shut down your computer?

Is there an error code with the error message?

You could go to support.microsoft.com and type in the exact error message (with the respective error code) in the search box and see what responses you get. I find this usually quite helpful and only 2/10 times I don't get the solution I need.

Good luck!
