Asthma and pregnancy are both "restrictive" conditions, meaning they cause "less room" for air to get into your lungs.
Depending on the severity of your asthma, pregnancy is usually safe enough but make sure you stay under close watch by your pulmonologist. May need a breathing treatment during labor from bronchospasm caused by the stress, no big deal. Always best to get your doctor's advice, he knows you and your condition the best.

I delivered 2 little boys naturally with chronic asthma. I was told that even though my asthma meds did carry risks to the fetus they were less risky than to go without the meds and have my baby starved for oxygen. Talk to your doctor about your concerns
