Is it true that when the dr. diagnosis one with folliculitis, that one is could have HIV?

No. Having folliculitis doesn't mean you have HIV or vice versa. Folliculitis is caused by trapped sweat, dead skin cells, or clothes rubbing against the hair too much. Its painful, but it goes away in about a week.

folliculitis is from excess sweating in a hairy area... the follicle gets inflamed and causes reddening and a hard lump that is itchy.
if can happen just about anywhere on the body.
I have never heard about it being linked to HIV
