If you want to stave off any heart problems, stay away from vegetable oils. Don't worry about eating saturated fats, they're natural and have been eating by humans since the beginning of time.

The whole cholesterol nonsense is exactly that, nonsense. Don't go on any of those statin drugs as they're danerous. The body uses cholesterol for so many purposes it's hard to count them all.

Don't let doctors tell you there is a link between high cholesterol and heart disease, that's nonsense. There are a lot of scientists who question what is called the Lipid Hypothesis.

The only form of cholesterol that humans should avoid eating is what's called oxidized cholesterol. The primary sources in our diets are from powerdered (dry) milk and eggs. The drying processes messes up the cholesterol in such a way that does make it dangerous.

But eating eggs and dairy (cream, butter) won't do you any harm.

Go to google and do a search for 'cholesterol myth'. There is a lot of published data you can read through.

You might try dropping about 30 lbs in weight, nothing drastic. Your numbers do not look correct. LDL & HDL should be your total. I see a Total of 209. Rather then go to meds, have you looked at your cholesterol intake (food)? Are you also doing weight lifting?

That is the decision that is best left to a doctor, who has access to your medical history, knows what meds and supplements you are taking and so forth.

Since you've been tested, see what the doctor who had you tested says.

this is a question best answered by your doctor. each patient responds to meds differently and you haven't given us your complete health history. some people need only to reduce their intake of animal proteins and refined sugars, lose weight, and exercise.
