I am 21 weeks and 5 days pregnant with my second child. with my first I didn't have genital herpes, but with with this one I do. My dr. said that he will give me anti-virals 2 weeks before and during my due date to fight off an outbreak so I won't have to have an C-section so I can have my child vaginally because i'm scared of being cut.

Yes you can have a vaginal delivery as long as there is no outbreak at the time of labor. All women with herpes should be given anti-virals beginning around 36 weeks to prevent an outbreak and C/S
