huh? a lomi for us is a type of noodle. a thick one like udon for the japanese.

Well, I know that lomi lomi salmon is a very popular Hawaiian recipe, but I've never heard it used as a term of endearment.

The only lomi I'm familiar with is a ceviche type dish made with fresh salmon, green onions, vinager and salt.

the lomi i know of is a chinese/filipino dish that is udon noodle soup with fish cake,fish balls,chicken, and vegetables in a thick broth...it's quite good...
