INDIA: All the food is good! But the best would be Tandoori chicken, biryani, naans, mango lassi, masala chai, papad, pakoras...butter chicken (but supposedly that originated in the UK but still by Indiansin the UK! So we'll take the credit anyway!!
PS: There are alot of countries that make curry besides India: Thai, Indonesia, Malay, Singapore, Cambodia... and they are all delicious!

Wow what a great question and it's very interesting to see all the different answers!
Being from the US, there are so many cuisines here it's hard to claim one as our own. We are the melting pot!
On a regular basis I eat Italian, Mexican and Greek foods and love them all :) I'd say a typical American meal would be a grilled steak and baked potato - but then again, it's all up to the consumer!

I am from Germany and I think probably the Currywurst (a bratwurst with a red sauce and curry powder served with a crunchy bread-roll).
Not to forget Schnitzel (fried breaded pork chop).
Yummy!

As a Chinese here in Hong Kong, there are a few I want to pick as our nation's best dishes
1) Sharkfin soup (prepared in many different ways)
2) Braised Abalone (dried abalone to be prepared for more than 3 days)
3) Roast duck (Peking duck, Cantonese Roast duck) & Roast goose
4) Steamed Garoupa (Cantonese style)
5) Roast whole baby pig
These 5 items are typical dishes that served in Wedding Banquets or in any other special occassions.
Below is a sample menu for a banquet with six main courses and four accompanying dishes and with 2 kinds of snaks before the banquet starts. The number should be even means that everything is "paired" so .. either 2, or 4 or 6.
Two kind of nuts (snaks)
Roasted peanuts with spiced salt, Candied Walnuts, Baked cashew nuts or pine nuts (choose any of two), serve with Chinese tea and some guests would play mahjong before the banquet starts.
Four Accompanying Dishes
Two cold Dishes - Shredded Duck, Peach and fresh fruit salad
Shredded Jelly fish salad with smoked pig's trotter
(nowadays, mostly it would be a roasted whole baby pig as the one of four accompany dish + 3 hot dishes)
Two hot dishes - Stir Fried Scallopes and Conch with sweet pea or Chinese Broccoli
Deep fried crab craws wrapped with minced shrimp and serves with red vinegar sauce
(My family usually add one more which is braised lobster with chicken stock)
Six Main Courses
Stewed Shark's fin in yunnan Ham sauce
Stewed Abalones and Fish Maw or braised Abalone with lettuce in oyster sauce (the second one is cheap in cost)
Steamed East Spot Garoupa serve with good quality soy sauce
Stewed dried scallops with whole garlic and pea shoots
Deep fried whole chicken
Long boiled quails and red dates and mushroom soup
Noodles and Rice
Egg Noodles with Dumplings in Chicken Stock
Yang Chow Fried Rice or Shredded Crab (in white sauce) and Chicken (in tomato sauce) Rice (I like the 2 colours and 2 different flavours of this rice dish, of course it is more expensive than Yang Chow Fried Rice)
Desserts / pastry / fruits
Lotus seeds and dried lily roots in red bean soup
deep fried sesame balls, walnut cookies
Assorted fruit platter or 12 whole Oranges (it is round in shape means everything in the future would go smooth)
usually there are 12 persons per table

I'd have to go with Serbian Sarma. It's ground beef and rice mixed and wrapped in sauerkraut leaves. It's supposed to be cooked for a very long time on low-medium heat.

I'm Belgian and I can't decide between either stoofvlees (a beef stew with beer) or waterzooi(a dish that holds the middle between a chicken meal and a chicken soup.)
I won't even mention what our regional specialty is as most brits would be appauled.
