To reach out and touch the very throne of God through prayer is a wonderful gift. Jesus is the Great Physician. God's word tells us that we are to call the elders of the church to pray for the sick and the prayer of FAITH will heal the sick. In another place the Bible says to come boldly to the throne of God and make your wishes known.
Research has shown time and time again that those patients who have faith in God and pray and are prayed for recover more quickly than those who do not believe in prayer. When I am sick, I specifically seek doctors and health care workers who are Christians because I want all the intervention I can get from them including most of all their belief in divine healing.

Prayer for a very ill person can help lift their spirits and speed the healing process.Besides, its nice to know others think enough of you to pray for your recovery !!!!!!!!!!! Regular treatment does NOT guarantee complete healing !! A little HELP FROM ABOVE DOES WONDERS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you are religious or believe in a supreme being then this is what you do . PRAY. For HE is who made us and he is the one that has stricken you or whoever. You pray to maybe alleviate the problem and come as a miracle cure.

It's a psychological effect. It just gives you hope, and that hope reduces the stress your body feels when you are ill
