I've really never had any problems with it. I try to stay away from genetically modified anything. In fact, I have felt a whole lot better since I became a vegan. I was a (ova-lacto)vegetarian for the longest time. I ate alot of cheese and junk food (I was very uneducated on being a vegetarian/vegan for the most part) I started doing some research about being a vegan and also about more natural foods. I decided to be a vegan and cut the junk out of my diet
( things like soda- High fructose corn syrup and sugar, simple carbohydrates- anything white basically)
Anyway after I became a vegan and really started watching what I ate I became alot healthier, and I am assuming that my soy intake has increased greatly. My immune system has become stronger, and before I was a vegan I used to get really, really depressed or angry for no reason at all, like flipping a switch. and now I am alot more calm and barely even get depressed anymore. I am guessing it has something to do with the foods that I am eating, which include soy. So no, I haven't had any problems with it.

I wouldnt indulge in too much soy products. My grandmother was suffering from cancer, and the chemo wasn't working. She went to a natural care, alternative facility in Cali as a last resort. The very first thing they did was take out all refined sugars and SOY out of her diet. You were right about the estrogen, some doctors even advise women going through menopause to eat fresh soy nuts. To help suppress some of those symptoms of menopause. The actual nut, in the end, is quite healtheir for you than the processed soy they put in fruit drinks, meatless products, dairy free stuffs.. My advice would be to stay away from it. Its poison, just like apaspartene or sachrain.
-And like one of the other readers..It seems to give me upset stomach. I had been eating granola that had soya protein in it. I didnt even realize it was in the cereal when I bought it, It was only after I had eaten it, that it dawned on me. NARF!

I developed allergies to it from eating to much of it. I was unaware about the modified stuff, and ate alot of it too, so I developed other allergies from the cross breeding. I am now allergic to wheat, soy, eggs, peanuts, etc. Soy has been so far modified that it can no longer be considered a natural food. Google "roundup ready soy" for an eye opener. Soy is evil in my book, and sadly, its in everything. Very hard to avoid. Soy lecethin is even in chocolate and teas. I think its just all too iffy.

I've always noticed a decrease in libido and seminal emissions for 24 to 48 hours after eating a LOT of soy. Moderate soy consumption doesn't seem to have any effect, and in all cases it recovers to normal after 48 h.

I get gas when I consume a lot of soy, but that's more of a problem for those near me than it is for me.
