No. Most women are diagnosed with HPV on the basis of abnormal Pap tests.
There is no test to detect HPV in men.

I don't believe there is a blood test. Also when they do a pap smear even though it may come up negative, it would be negligent on your doctor's part not to run the HPV also. As far as I know there is no test for men.

HPV is usually detected through a pap and other biopsies or if you have the strain that causes warts that detected visually. I have the strain that causes cervical cancer. usually when they run a blood test they only look for the things they took the blood for. I am not positive but I would have to say no.

Yes there is a blood test. Theres a place you can tick off for HPV testing but usually this is more costly thats why they kill 2 bird with one stone and do it will u have your annual papsmear. It cost more money to do any blood work processing than the rest...

Usually, they do a pap first, send it off,
then something abnormal shows up, they call you back in for further testing,,,
they took another pap culture, then some blood,
then discuss your treatment, if the test comes back positive,
and believe me, there is no time to waste,,,the longer you wait, the worse off the circumstances will be.....

No it done through a pap smear. If you are a guy than you need to go to the doctor and they stick a q-tip where you do not really want one.

I believe it's actually done through a papsmear, unless you're a dude. Are you a dude? Then I'm not sure how they know.
