Yes they can.

You'll need to visit your doctor and get some anti-fungal medication. Doctors usually prescribe fluconazole (brand name: Diflucan), or they might prescribe ketoconazole.

These medications are taken orally.

Good luck!

Hello, I'm on the second week and seeing definite improvement on my yeast infection symptoms:

Note that: If the yeast infection doesn't respond to over the counter treatment, prescription medication will likely be necessary. Similarly, if the symptoms return after two months of being treated, you should contact the doctor for professional treatment rather than resorting again to home treatment.

If this is the first time you have experienced a yeast infection, you should schedule an appointment to have the condition treated by a doctor instead of resorting to home treatment

Yes, men can get one the same way a woman can. It is a little less common in men than in women, but it does happen. If you do have one, the best thing to do is to see a doctor and have something prescribed [they'll probably give you Diflucan (fluconazole)] and with many medications for this it's just one pill and then it should clear up after a while. To prevent this from happening again, hygiene is needed and you might also want to check to see if anyone you've engaged in sexual activity with has a yeast infection also because unless a condom is worn it is possible to transmit from one person to another.

Yes, a male can get a yeast infection and can give that infection to a female. Call your physician and go for treatment. It is simple and easy. Do it.

The common yeast infection, Candida albicans, is no respecter of gender. It signals a breakdown of the immune system, and is often seen after a course of antibiotics has killed all your good and bad bacteria. It is not limited to sexual organs and doesn't have to be transmitted that way. When it is in the throat, it is called "thrush." In Chinese medicine, candida infection is seen as a deceleration of the wei qi ("way chee"), the defensive energy of the body. Wei qi is made of water, and you have to be getting plenty of water, half an ounce per pound of body weight per day is good. Acupuncture is the best treatment for candida. There are systemic antifungal drugs, too, but read the side effects. If you have had antibiotics, you need to replenish the good bacteria in your intestines by eating cultured milk products like yogurt and kefir, or get live lactobacillus culture in the refrigerated section of a health food store that has a good turnover. (It needs to be fresh.) People will tell you to stay away from yeasted breads or nutritional yeast, but there is no good science to back that up. However, proteins and veggies are going to be better for you than carbs. You have to build your blood.

Yes a male can get a yeast infection the same as a woman and if the woman gave it to the man or the other way around it will keep coming back unless you go the doctor and get a prescription for it. It is very common. But you really need to go to a doctor to get it cleared up.

yes a male can have a yeast infection.Believe it or not the same over the counter creams like Monistat cream or any yeast infection cream that a woman uses can rid you of a yeast infection without going to the doctor.
