It is wonderful. Very High in fiber which helps you to release sugar more slowly . I recommend buying ground flax seed and add it to anything and everything. A couple of spoons full sprinkled on any food you eat. It does not have much flavor. It will however make liquid type foods a little thicker. I sprinkle it on salads, over my ramon noodles, on pizza, almost everything I eat. It has also helped me lose weight. Increasing you fiber is always a good thing.
But remember whenever you increase fiber you also need to increase water intake so that you do not become constipated. A little bit of Olive Oil along with the flax will also help keep things moving. I bought an olive oil sprayer and give the food a quick spray after cooking.

I heard flaxseed dissolved some breast tumors...

So when I was diagnosed with one I purchased an all flaxseed cereal called Ezekiel 4:9 from my natural food store, and flaxseed oil to mix with my canola/olive oil cooking oil.

It not only dissolved the tumor - my good cholesterols were much improved!

It's high in Omega 3's and just 2 ounces of the cereal in the morning for breakfast gave me energy without blasting my blood sugar.

Peace!!

Flaxseed is OK for diabetics, but don't think that is is a miracle cure.
