Sorry to tell you this, but sometimes HPV never goes away.

For most men and women it goes away on it's own. Their bodies basically "fight it off". But, since there is no test for men to detect HPV it's basically impossible for your boyfriend to know if he has been able to get rid of it.

There is no cure for HPV and some people will have it their entire life.

Also, MILLIONS of people have HPV and MILLIONS of them have healthy, beautiful babies. Just because a person has HPV doesn't mean they can't have a baby. I have HPV and my fiance and I plan on having a baby in the future. Transferring HPV from a mother to child is EXTREMELY rare! HPV shouldn't stop you two from having a baby!

Good luck!

HPV(genital warts) has no cure and does not go away. When you have a break out it can last a couple days, weeks, or even months. They do go away but it is a virus that you will always have in your system just like herpes. You can still have children but if you have an outbreak while the baby is being born i think it is possible to give it to the baby-when you have herpes they have to do a c-section so I am not sure if it is the same with hpv or not. Like 90% of people have hpv but never have an outbreak so it is hard to know if someone has it or not who has never been tested.

Wow how old are you? Anyway HPV is popular like the kids in school these days. Thing is, those kids NEVER GO AWAY. They will come and go and harrass your a$$ both literally and figuratively. It is not to be taken lightly. I have HPV and I have to appear in the gyn office every 6 months. You must now change the way you think of sex. It will be a lil worrysome for you since you are a woman...

Good Luck!

Well, it takes time to go away and that varies with each individual. He gave you HPV, so you shouldn't be doing anything with him now because you can be transferring it back and forth. You should definitely be seeing a gynecologist every six months to get a pap smear because a small number of different HPV strains can cause cervical cancer. Good Luck with everything and speak with your gynecologist!

unfortunately hpv will never go away, the worts family of viruses are permentant. you will risk transfer to your child if you deliver vaginally, i am not sure if it can transfer in utero. also for females the hpv worts family is linked to the contraction of cerviacle cancer and it would be a very good idea that once your atleast 18 yrs , but from 20 get regular smears to check that you do not contract this condition.
