By the powers vested upon me as a level 9 vegan, I forgive you for your transgression and allow you to continue to identify yourself as a vegetarian.

Hi,
First off no i dont call any question stupid if your asking it cause that means it is important to you...
As for the question I would definetly call myself a vegetarian still because it wasnt like you meant to eat it, it was put there by accident. And also you didnt go and say well i may as well eat the rest of the piece.. And the major reason is because your so concerned about it means that being a vegetarian is so important to you...
Dont worry about it and Have a great day!!

The question is not that of what you did, but of your intent.
Did you KNOW you were eating meat? If you did not know and it was an accident, then you are solid in your ethics. I once was given beans and told they were vegetarian when in fact they had bacon, I got really sick. These accidents will happen if you don't cook all your own food (and I do, now) so it's not your fault.
But there's a huge ethical difference between doing it on purpose, and doing it accidently.

anytime you eat anything from any restaurant, there will always be traces of meat in it. Eating a tiny *** piece of pepperoni is not going to kill you and its not going to make you a "non-vegetarian".
You can still call yourself a vegetarian, just no that the only way you can ensure that you are truly eating a vegeatarian meal is if you grow the veggies yourself and eat only things from your own garden.

I've been a veggiehead for...twenty something years. Unless you grow and make your own food, you will always have some kind of meat by-product in your foods. Gelatin, certain "natural flavors", come from meat sources. Dont worry so much, just pay attention to what you are eating. I grow my own and bake my own and pretty much am fanatical about my foods, and yet, something can slip in there that comes from meat. But I am still a vegetarian..

dont try to pack yourself into a neat little box-you ate that pizza unintentionally, forgive yourself. Yes, you are still a vegetarian...there are many vegans out there who unintentionally eat animals every day-all because they don't know the sources of hidden animal products-its hidden everywhere. YOU be the judge of what and who you are, my dear. Its not stupid at all, in fact I will give it a star!

Yes! and I commend you for wanting to be a vegetarian. Now if you continued to eat pork and such than no you couldn't back up that title. Wish you well!

If it was totally unintentional, you can go back to being a vegetarian and you don't have to tell anybody. You just made a mistake, it happens.

i think you are still considered as one.according to my mum,if u mistakenly ate non-vege,you are not doing it on purpose.if you are doing it for the sake of god then He will know that it is not your fault as long as you take it as a lesson and double check again the ingredients in your food next time.cheer up and keep up the good work of being a vege
