nephrolithiasis is the presence of calculi in the kidneys. It is a common cause of kidney stones. bilateral means that it is in both kidneys. nephron refers to the kidneys. lithiasis is a pathological formation of mineral concretions in the body.

Nephro= medical term for kidney
Lithiasis= a condition involving (iasis) the formation of stones (lithic as in monolithic)
