I've been a vegan for the last 4-5 years. Thinking back I can remember that I was feeling a bit weak during the first few months and was feeling sleepy all the time.
However I did read more about vegan diet and found what food is necessary to be both a vegan and healthy at the same time.
Dairy and soya products are a must in addition to lot of green vegetables and fruit. I have about 4-5 portions of fruit (eg. oranges, apple, banana, papaw etc) a day other than the vegetables I have for all three meals. AVOID starch, like biscuits, pastry etc. My carbohydrate intale is eithet in the form of rice, bread or chappati.
Also reduse your meat or fish intake gradually, since your body needs time to adjust.
However I did go and consult a dietician too. You too can do that.

No, I don't get week or woozy. Maybe it's what you're eating or you're not eating enough? I try to make sure all my food groups are covered and that I'm getting vegetables, fruit, whole grains, adequate protein from beins, tofu, stuff from Morningstar Farms. If it's not that, then maybe you should go to the doctor's and you're just blaming it on the vegan/vegetarian thing because you can't think of anything else it could be.
Or maybe vegans and vegetarians all get weak and woozy and I'm just a crazy exception. :)
As for the second question, no... I haven't been to a doctor in a few years, which is bad, I know. My mother just hates them.

I get a little woozy when it's that time of the month. I was anemic even before going veggie and I've struggled with it for quite a while now.
I think I get that way b/c my iron level drops as I...well, you know. While Aunt Flo visits.
That's about the only time, though! And yes, I do have blood draws to make sure I'm not low on anything else.

I have a pretty intense physical job, so if I skip breakfast or miss lunch I get dizzy. I also sometimes get weak or dizzy when I have a bad headcold.
If you have unexplained weak dizzy feelings you should see a doctor. It could be a number of things that may or may not be related to diet. If you are not eating well it could be anemia. It could also be a sinus infection.
I get my bloodwork done every year. My vitamin levels, cholestol etc are great. I think it is very important for everyone vegan and omnivorous to get bloodwork.

No, this has never happened to me. Maybe you are not getting enough to eat? And no, I do not get my blood check. I have no reason to do that.
