Trichinosis is what you get from eating undercooked pork. You are probably thinking of trichomoniasis, which is an STD. The confusion stems from the prefix trich- which comes from the Greek for hair or filament.

Trichomoniasis is an STD caused by the protozoan parasite, Trichomonas vaginalis. Common symptoms for women are a yellowish-greenish discharge and a strong fishy odor along with vaginal itching and burning.
Symptoms in men are asymptomatic and may not display any symptoms. It is possible that the infection in men may dissipate in a few weeks without treatment. However, men will continue to reinfect their partner unless he is treated.
Thus both partner must be treated usually with a single dose of metronidazole.
Another common STD similar to Trichomoniasis is Bacterial Vaginosis (BV). Common symptoms of BV are a thin white-grayish watery with a strong odor along with the vaginal itching and burning. Treatment is usually an antibiotic of metronidazole or clindamycin.
For either case, see your physician.
I hope this helps.

Trichinellosis, also called trichinosis, is caused by eating raw or undercooked meat of animals infected with the larvae of a species of worm called Trichinella. Infection occurs commonly in certain wild carnivorous (meat-eating) animals but may also occur in domestic pigs.

Why would you want one, some stds you could be stuck with for the rest of your life and not too many people want to sleep with some one who has an std. Have lots of unprotected sex you will eventually run into some one who has one. I have an std and I can tell you it's not fun and I wish I never contracted it.

I thought Trichinosis was something you could get from eating uncooked (or not fully - cooked) pork. I have never heard of it being a STD.

Eat raw pork and get it. Have sex and?? Maybe you'll get some STD but Trich comes from eating raw meat. I remember learning in biology that the the trich cyst or eggs can attach themselves to grass stems. Place a stem of grass in your mouth and who knows, Biology for me was in 1985 so I could be a little confused about the cyst thing.
